Ever had an idea that was so big, you just had to dive in and try it?
400 Before 40 is my personal challenge to squeeze more life out of the years that matter most. Approaching the big 4-0, I wanted to push myself and spend 12 months throwing everything at the wall - think of it as a gap year with twenty years more experience (or misadventure?).
That brings me to the 400... Think of it as a planned, actionable bucket list. It’s a list of 400 things to do before I turn 40—some big, some small, some ridiculous, some quietly transformative. Adventures, skills, habits, creative projects, endurance tests, travel, learning, relationships, career shifts and personal standards all sit side by side. Things to see, things to try, things to learn and changes to make. It’s not about ticking boxes or escaping the day-to-day; it’s about showing up, collecting better stories, and building a life that feels full, curious, capable, and well-lived.
If everything before 40 is just research, 400 before 40 is my truly epic research project.
